OUR MISSION

At Holy Temple Church, we will teach God’s people to be fully committed to Him in every area of life. We will, first, teach God’s people to commit to Him through putting their faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. We will teach them to commit, secondly, to Loving God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength and loving others as they love themselves, and we will teach them, thirdly, to be committed to sharing with others the Great Love that God has for all people through His Son, Jesus Christ.

CORE VALUES

Prayer
We value the power and privilege of prayer. We recognize that prayer is a spiritual discipline, and that God hears and answers our prayers according to His will. (Luke 18:1; 1 John 5:14-15)

Family
We value the gift of family. We recognize that there is a Divine design for families and that there is great value in families experiencing God together. (Luke 2:41-52; Ephesians 5:22-6:4)

Knowledge of the Bible
We value biblical teaching. We recognize that God is revealed to us and speaks to us through the Bible. We also believe that God challenges us to live according to such truths. (Psalm 119:9-16; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:22)

Worship
We value worship. We recognize that corporate worship is a great opportunity for us to acknowledge the supreme worth and value of our God, to participate together in prayer and praise, and to hear the Word of God proclaimed through preaching and teaching. (Psalm 29:1-2; Psalm 95:1-7a; Psalm 100; John 4:23-24; Hebrews 10:25)

Evangelism
We value evangelism. We recognize a need to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others, so that they too may embrace the love of God and experience the new life found in Him. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

Giving
We value giving. We recognize that we are blessed to be a blessing. We strive to give liberally to those in need and to the advancement of our church, as we keep in mind the words of Jesus, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Malachi 3:8-12; Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:6-11)

Community
We value community. We recognize a Divine mandate to minister locally, nationally, and internationally to people from all walks of life so that the cause of Christ may be advanced in both word and deed. (Matthew 22:37-39; Luke 4:18-19 & 10:25-37)
